Some Imaging Solutions by Paperless
Airline Problem:	As a large international airline company, they are required to conduct and document maintenance and repairs for their entire fleet. The amount of paperwork for each aircraft is astounding. Document managers and clerks were required to physically archive everything from work orders to engineering specifications for each individual plane. The cost of labor, storing, accessing and photocopying these documents were considerable. In an effort to become far more efficient and to reduce costs, they turned to Paperless for a solution.
Solution:	The "Paperless Solution" was to image the airline's fleet archives and index them into a tailored electronic archive. Once imaged, requesting information or a copy of a specific document can be achieved in a matter of seconds. In the event of a disaster, all records are securely stored off-site.

Transport Company Problem:	This transportation company regularly receives requests from its clients for copies of "Proof of Delivery (POD)" and "Waybills". In order to comply with their client's wishes, they maintain a large archive of documents for each account. Their standard procedure was to retrieve the requested copy, make a photocopy, fill out a fax cover sheet and fax it to the client as soon as possible (usually 1- 2 weeks later). As with most transport companies, their growing business resulted in increased POD and Waybill filing. The nightmare of processing these paper backlogs hindered workflow and increased management costs. In addition, customers would refuse to pay until their Proof Of Delivery was supplied.
Solution:	The "Paperless Solution" established an in-house turnkey solution to image documents as they are received. Once scanned and indexed, searching and retrieving any POD or Waybill takes seconds. Depending on the client, these requested documents will then be either faxed or e-mailed.
